Privacy Policy

BillShredder helps people explore ways to lower their internet bills. This policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you submit your email or create an account, we collect your email address. If you use Google sign-in, our authentication provider may also give us your name, profile image, and a unique account identifier. If you use our service, we may receive information you intentionally provide about your internet service, bills, preferences, and support interactions.

We collect limited usage data such as pages visited, signup steps completed, device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral source, and advertising interactions. We do not send bill contents, login credentials, email addresses, or internet-provider account details to Google Analytics or Meta advertising tools.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, create and maintain accounts, respond to requests, improve the signup experience, measure marketing, prevent fraud, comply with law, and communicate about BillShredder.

Service providers

We use service providers including Supabase for authentication and database services, Google for authentication and analytics, Meta for advertising measurement, and our hosting and email providers. These providers process information according to their own terms and our instructions.

Cookies and analytics choices

Google receives cookieless measurement events with advertising and analytics storage denied. Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API measure website activity and may use first-party browser identifiers such as the _fbp cookie. BillShredder does not store a separate analytics-consent preference.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including legal, accounting, and security obligations. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account, or object to certain uses where applicable.
